Arrived in the afternoon at Catherin\u2019s Landing, a beautiful clean RV Resort with large level cement pads, tree covered mountains surrounding the area and a calm river flowing along the edges.\u00a0 Had a relaxing time at the rally, meeting new people and enjoying the nightly pot lucks.\u00a0 One of the couples, Robert and Robin, cooked our whole group gumbo one night for dinner.\u00a0 They were from Louisiana and took trips frequently but still owned a home.<\/p>\n

\"Quapaw<\/a>\u00a0\"The<\/a>\u00a0\"The<\/a>\"Ozark<\/a>\u00a0\"Buckstaf<\/a><\/p>\n

Met up with our friends from TX, Dale and Ricki, for lunch and visited one of the local hot springs for the full treatment.\u00a0 Stripped down and wrapped in a towel, we were escorted to each station.\u00a0 First was a wonderful warm mineral bath in a tub with a strong bubbly flow of water.\u00a0 Next was a mineral sitz bath of even hotter water.\u00a0 John and Dale commented on how lobster red their butts were after the sitz bath.\u00a0 Ricki and I hadn\u2019t noticed…guess it\u2019s a guy thing.\u00a0 \u00a0Next came a steam room, body only with your head sticking out.\u00a0 That was my favorite and when Ricki and I came back a few days later for another spa treatment, I asked for longer time in the steam.\u00a0 Next was an all-over strong surround shower that had a bit of a sting but still felt wonderful.\u00a0 After we dried off we returned to the little Cajun restaurant we visited a few days before and had a relaxing lunch looking out over the small historic town.<\/p>\n

\"Ganster<\/a>\u00a0\"Ganster<\/a>\u00a0\"Downtown<\/a><\/p>\n

Quite some history in this little town.\u00a0 Gangsters, underground passageways, gambling, bootleg liquor and the mob painted a colorful picture of Hot Spring\u2019s past.\u00a0 Movie stars and mob money kept the town going for many years.\u00a0 Of course I had to get in on the act and try out the machine gun, being Italian and all.<\/p>\n

\"Hometown<\/a> \"Fat<\/a>\u00a0\"The<\/a> \"From<\/a> \"From<\/a> \"From<\/a>\"Arlington<\/a>\"John<\/a><\/p>\n

John, Dale, Ricki and I toured Hot Springs together visiting the Tower, the hot springs fountains, \u00a0The Arlington Hotel, other local sites.\u00a0 John volunteered to get water from the springs for everyone to take home and when he started filling the containers, he realized that the water comes out of the fountain HOT.<\/p>\n

\"Wild<\/a>\u00a0\"Adult<\/a>\u00a0\"Bee<\/a>\"Bumble<\/a>\u00a0\"Butterfly\"<\/a>\u00a0\"Full<\/a><\/p>\n

\"Begining<\/a>\u00a0\"Dog<\/a>\u00a0\"Largest<\/a>\"Mushrooms<\/a>\u00a0\"One<\/a>\u00a0\"Lake<\/a>\u00a0\"Lights<\/a><\/p>\n

John and I had some extra time to ourselves so we visited Garvan Gardens with the pups and spent the day wandering through the forest.\u00a0 The weather was picture perfect.\u00a0 We had the place to ourselves almost the entire time.\u00a0\u00a0The beautiful wild violets reminded me of my mother and they peeked up\u00a0along side\u00a0several of the paths scattered between wild mushrooms and ferns.\u00a0 Millie and KatieBug sniffed the handmade dog fountain but weren’t interested in drinking from a rock bowl.\u00a0 Workers were putting up the Christmas decorations and the twinkling lights added to the beauty.\u00a0\u00a0Another place we plan to visit again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
