South Dakota Residents"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/?attachment_id=171\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-171\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Lily Pad, ribbit at Casino RV Resort\" src=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Lily-Pad-ribbit-at-Casino-RV-Resort-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/?attachment_id=177\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-177\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-177\" alt=\"Casino RV Resort\" src=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Casino-RV-Resort-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Left for South Dakota to become residents and register our domicile. \u00a0On the way we stopped at a casino in Oklahoma.\u00a0 It was a nice RV park and the casino had a buffet with crab, shrimp and prime rib.\u00a0 We ask if it was a non-smoking restaurant and were told that it was.\u00a0 We took the bus to the casino, walked inside and asked where the buffet was located.\u00a0 As it turned out, the buffet was located in the middle of the casino, no walls or anything separating it from the smoke of the casino.\u00a0 When I asked the manager how they considered it non-smoking and how they kept the smoke out, he became flustered and gave us all sorts of excuses.\u00a0 We did end up eating there and it was good but we noted that it wasn\u2019t non-smoking for future trips.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/?attachment_id=166\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-166\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"112 Really Hot\" src=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/112-Really-Hot-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/?attachment_id=172\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-172\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Our site, Lake Herman, SD\" src=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Our-site-Lake-Herman-SD-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/?attachment_id=169\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-169\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"John and the pups at Lake Herman\" src=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/John-and-the-pups-at-Lake-Herman-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our trip to South Dakota was long with temperatures as high as 112.\u00a0 Hot, dry, lots of burned out fields all the way.\u00a0 When we arrived we stayed at a beautiful state park and were alone for the first few days.\u00a0 Beautiful sunsets, quiet, peaceful and lots of places to walk and enjoy the cool weather.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/?attachment_id=170\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-170\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Lake Herman Sunset\" src=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Lake-Herman-Sunset-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/?attachment_id=173\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-173\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Sunset at our site\" src=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Sunset-at-our-site-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/?attachment_id=168\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-168\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Herman Lake at dusk\" src=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Herman-Lake-at-dusk-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We drove into town and met our postal lady.\u00a0 She helped us get the license plates for the car and RV, got us registered to vote, our car insurance and found us an attorney for our wills.\u00a0 All was quick and easy.\u00a0 Getting our South Dakota licenses took about a half hour.\u00a0 John and I have renewed on line for over a\u00a0decade and\u00a0our pictures were of young \u201cus\u201d.\u00a0 We went in, signed a paper and they took our picture.\u00a0 The clerk called our name and gave us our permanent plastic color driver\u2019s license.\u00a0 When John got his, he gave it back and told the lady, this isn\u2019t me\u2026this guy is OLD.\u00a0 She actually took it back and he started laughing when she looked at him quizzically.\u00a0 Yep, we were both \u201cold\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/?attachment_id=167\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-167\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Downtown Madison SD\" src=\"http:\/\/perrellas.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Downtown-Madison-SD-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Left for South Dakota to become residents and register our domicile. \u00a0On the way we stopped at a casino in Oklahoma.\u00a0 It was a nice RV park and the casino had a buffet with crab, shrimp and prime rib.\u00a0 We &hellip;
