\"Brookings<\/a><\/p>\n

We moved into the 50 amp site this morning.\u00a0 I don’t think Millie’s “scary dog” plan worked but we let her think it did. It\u2019s a nice roomy site with 50 amps\u00a0but this Elks Lodge only allows stays of one week or less so we will be searching out another spot in a few days.<\/p>\n

John went to the locals \u201ccoffee morning chat\u201d at McDonalds early this morning.\u00a0 Senior coffee prices draws all the elders in for morning chats and John was happy being the youngest of the group. \u00a0\u00a0Back at the LilyPad the \u201calways something\u201d was the automatic blinds.\u00a0 One was not working so they all had to be reset.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m ready to begin my lessons from the master on treasurer hunting with a metal detector now that we are settled in Brookings.\u00a0 Dad is going to teach me and I\u2019ve always wanted to try.\u00a0 Better late than never I say.\u00a0 Both dad and I have one and I can\u2019t wait to pull mine out of the basement and finally put it together.<\/p>\n

Took a drive to Samuel H Boardman State Park to let the pups run on the beach.\u00a0 Too windy for us so we watched people climb around on the rocks.<\/p>\n

One gutsy gull was perched 18 inches from me and didn\u2019t move when I took the picture. \u00a0A few seconds later it was flailing, feet and wings stretched out in all directions, as the wind blew it off kilter\u2026too funny!\u00a0 Recouping, it stood its ground and its intense stare until we left.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
